Drumming Course
We are also running a four week Introductory Course to djembe drumming as a part of Bergvliet High School’s continuing education programme.
Learn how to play the djembe drum in this fun-filled course! You will
learn how to hold the drum; the positions on the drum for the various
'notes'; some simple and slightly more challenging rhythms and solos;
how to read our drum notation and finally how to tighten and care for
the drum. Drums are provided for use during the course and we have drums
for sale should you wish to purchase your own.
The course is held every term with the next course being run on Wednesday evenings from 18 April - 8 May 2012 between 19h00 - 21h00.
To sign up for the course please contact Mrs Kathy Miles on:
Ph: (021) 712 0979
Email: kathy.miles@ananzi.co.za
If you’ve missed the start of the course, watch this space for details of the next course.
We also offer Private Tuition should you prefer a one on one lesson in the comfort of your own home. You will learn traditional rhythms and solos at your own pace and ease. The lesson is normally an hour long but may be changed to suit your requirements and don't worry if you don't have a drum as one will be provided free of charge for use during the class
Please contact us for more information.
